9/9/25 - Meeting Recap

Hello, neighbors! We wanted to provide a summary of our recent HOA meeting. The board discussed several key topics that affect our entire community. Here's a quick overview of what was covered:

Financials & Sharper Management Transition

Our financial health is strong, with more funds collected than spent recently. We're in a good position to address community needs. The transition to Sharper Management is ongoing. We know communication has been a challenge, and that's largely due to missing contact information for many residents. The board is actively working with Sharper to increase communication frequency. Please make sure your contact information is up to date on the resident portal.

Community-Wide Programs & Initiatives

  • Unified Trash and Recycling Program: The board is exploring a unified trash and recycling program. A bid from Suburban Waste Services (SWS) would set a monthly rate of ~$21 per household for trash and recycling pick up; it allows for bin size selection, and to opt-in to yard waste pick up. Organics are not include in the bid due to the State ending a grant that funded the program for all waste collection services. It is important for homeowners to know a decision has not been made. We are continuing to explore options and gather information in an effort to make the best decision for the neighborhood.

  • Pond Maintenance: We're looking into options for aerating our community ponds to improve their appearance and prevent muck buildup.

  • Chaska Bluffs Rate Reduction: A formal request for a rate reduction from the Chaska Bluffs villas is being reviewed by the board.

Neighborhood Courtesy & Rules

The board discussed a few key areas where residents can help improve our neighborhood's appearance and safety:

Improving Communication

We understand that clear and frequent communication is vital. The board is committed to increasing updates, especially through the resident portal, which is our primary source for official documents like rules, bylaws, and financial reports. If you haven’t already, please add yourself to the neighborhood directory to help neighbors connect and building committees to help manage issues with the city and neighborhood upkeep.

  • Please avoid taping items to mailboxes or light poles, as this can cause damage and is costly for the community to clean.

We appreciate all the feedback and engagement from residents. If you have questions or concerns, the best way to reach us is through the resident portal. We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting! We will send out mailers and emails with more information soon.
